Connect your computer directly to your online storage: everything you place in the new folder is stored locally on your device.

With WebDav, you access your data online. The files are automatically saved on the mycloud.ch servers and don't take up any of your computer’s memory. You can see your myCloud files directly in File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS) and edit them there, so you can access the latest version of your data from anywhere.

How to activate WebDav:

  1. Log in at myCloud Web(opens in new tab) and go to settings. Click on “Activate WebDav”.
  2. Set a password in the new window and click “Save”.

You can also back up multiple devices, allowing you to access your backed-up computer data from anywhere, even with your smartphone or tablet.

All data is stored on Swisscom servers in Switzerland and in four different secure data centres. Even the failure of an entire data centre would not lead to a loss of data if we ever experienced technical problems. These precautions mean that your data is always safely stored on your myCloud storage. All the data you store on our myCloud servers is subject to Swiss data protection laws(opens in new tab).

To find your photos quickly, you can use the filter function or search for the photos in the timeline by the date they were taken or by using the “Places” function. This lets you find the location you took your photo using a map. To make it easier to organise your photos and videos, you can add them to albums.

If you can't find files or folders, you can use the search function (magnifying glass symbol in the top right-hand corner) or look in the recycle bin.

When you delete a photo or video, it disappears completely from the album and from the photo area. The contents are moved to the recycle bin where they can be permanently deleted. If you have deleted files in error, you have 30 days to recover them.

With myCloud Safe, you can encrypt your files on your computer for protection before saving them to myCloud. Your data is then only accessible with an additional password and remains secure even if someone should gain access to your myCloud account. myCloud Safe is currently only available on the myCloud Web.

Open myCloud Safe
In the myCloud Web(opens in new tab), go to ‘Safe’ in the navigation bar and follow the instructions. You must create a password when opening the myCloud Safe. You will also receive recovery codes with which you can open the safe if you forget the password. You must keep these codes safe.

Forgotten your password?
If you have lost the recovery codes, the safe and its contents must be deleted in order to create a new one. Call our hotline or visit a Swisscom Shop. The data stored in the safe cannot be recovered due to the encryption.
