The following file systems are supported by myCloud Computer Backup:
- ntfs
- exFAT
- FAT32
- APFS
To back up a folder, the following permissions must be assigned to the folder, if these permissions are not given the error message "Required folder checks" will appear:

The following error messages may occur:
"Root folders are not allowed" |
Please check that you have not selected a folder whose name begins with / (macOS) or C:\ or /c/ (Windows). Please also note that you cannot back up complete USB sticks, SD cards or hard disks with myCloud Backup. |
"Folder contains myCloud folder" or "Your myCloud folder is not permitted" |
As it looks, you wanted to back up the myCloud folder. Unfortunately this is not possible. Make sure that you deselect the myCloud folder and that it is not in a subdirectory of the selected folder. |
"System folders are not allowed" |
Please make sure that you have not selected a folder named /System/ (macOS) or C:\System or C:\Program Files (Windows). Unfortunately, these cannot be saved. Please also note that a complete system or operating system backup is not possible. |
"This folder already exists" or "Subfolder has already been backed up" |
Apparently the selected folder or a subfolder of the selected directory has already been backed up with myCloud Backup. |
