Files from 0 byte up to a maximum file size of 3 GB (myCloud Light/Standard Edition) resp. 20 GB (myCloud Pro Edition) are supported.
Unsupported file types:
Maximum length of file names
The maximum file name length is 255 characters.
Maximum number of files
The maximum number of files that can be synchronised without inhibiting performance is 100,000.
Maximum number of subfolders
The maximum number of subfolders per folder is 10,000.
Maximum number of folders
The maximum number of folders is 10,000.
Maximum path length
The maximum number of characters allowed in a file path (path and file name) is 260.
Symbolic links (also called symlinks or soft links) in your myCloud directory are ignored and therefore not synchronised with myCloud.
Minimum internet speed
The minimum speed required for myCloud Desktop to work properly is: 5 MB Download / 1 MB Upload
Direct synchronization of programs in the myCloud folder
We do not recommend setting the default storage path of programs to the myCloud folder, as programs create temporary files when editing and opening files that cause synchronization problems.
