The myCloud Desktop App for Windows and macOS connects your computer directly to the online storage at myCloud.ch. After installing the myCloud Desktop software, a new myCloud folder will be created directly on your computer. You can quickly and easily find this folder in your file manager under the cloud icon.
Everything you store in this folder will automatically be copied and stored on the server at myCloud.ch. This will make it easy to manage your files via Windows Explorer or Mac Finder and you’ll have access to the most up-to-date version of your files from anywhere.
Always up to date
If you edit a file within your myCloud folder, the changes will automatically be applied in our myCloud.ch online storage through the myCloud Desktop App. If you use myCloud Desktop on several computers, the edited file will also be synchronised on these devices in your myCloud folder. Thus, you’ll always have the most up-to-date versions of your documents on all of your computers.
Please note: image and video files that are located in your “Photos” and "Albums" at myCloud.ch are not synchronised with your computer.
Editing files offline
Since the myCloud Desktop always stores a copy of your files on your computers as well as on our servers, you can also edit your files while on the go without an internet connection. As soon as you’re once again connected to the internet, myCloud Desktop will detect the changes made and transfer these to the online storage at myCloud.ch and then from there to all of your other devices.
Mobile access
You can also install the myCloud App on your Android or iOS devices. This will enable you to have access to the most up-to-date versions of your files from anywhere.
